Could you use an AmeriCorps or VISTA Member to assist in:
- Strengthening youth participation in a program by creating innovative curriculum.
- Building community support through volunteer recruitment and outreach.
- Develop Service Learning projects that engage youth in the community
- Increasing program capacity through volunteers, communications, fundraising etc.
- Enhancing programming options by researching and coordinating innovative curriculum ideas, strengthening relationships with local schools to develop the connection between the school-day and the afterschool program, creating connections with local enrichment providers, etc.

In preparation for the 2010 service year and kick off the recruitment campaign we are asking potential host-sites to submit a letter of intent to Renée Perreault via email, fax or mail,
This will be a competitive process as we have 12 A*VISTA slots for a summer 2010 start, 17 Summer AmeriCorps (minimum of 300 hours) slots and 30 Full-Time AmeriCorps slots for a late August start.
Host site cost share amount will be:
A*VISTA Host Site - $5,000
Full –Time AmeriCorps Host Site - $7,000
Summer AmeriCorps Host Site - $1,400
Letter of Intent should include the following:
- Contact information (name, email, address, phone, fax)
- Number of AmeriCorps or VISTA Members that you are interested in
- Summary of your organizatio
- A brief description of work plan
