    • 22,000 children in New Hampshire do not have Health Insurance. Every American child should be able to see a doctor of their own.

    • Childcare costs as much as college tuition, but it gets much less government funding.

    • Nearly 28,000 NH children live in Poverty.

    • Even though America grows enough food to feed everyone, millions of children don’t have enough to eat.

    • 23% of NH children are left alone every day After School.

    • Every six hours a child dies from abuse or neglect in America.

Youth who participate in afterschool programs are significantly less likely to get involved in risky behavior. Yet, in New Hampshire, roughly 25% of school children are alone and unsupervised after school. We need more afterschool programs in New Hampshire to serve the youth who need them.
